This week a show with some information you might find pretty surprising.
Sometimes, the surgery you've been told you need might not be necessary. There
may be other options -- whether it's a hysterectomy or a knee replacement,
going under the knife isn't always the answer. You'll hear from journalist Holly Bridges, who
found an alternative when her doctor said she needed to have her uterus removed
-- and made it her job to spread the job to other women through her new book
"The UNhysterectomy."
And we head to a groundbreaking
clinic in Toronto, where a new breed of physiotherapists
are helping to cut down on unneeded hip and knee surgery and reducing wait
times for those who need to go under the knife as a result.
